On October 16, 2017, the Brown Deer Village Board approved Attorney Paul W. Zimmer’s appointment to the Brown Deer Plan Commission. The Plan Commission studies and makes recommendations to the Village Board in matters of proposed site plans, zoning changes, subdivision plats, and review of the Official Village Map and the Village’s Comprehensive Plan. One of the most frequent duties of the Plan Commission is the study and recommendation of conditional use permits.
Attorney Zimmer was also appointed as the Second Alternate for the Brown Deer Board of Appeals, which handles appeals of zoning disputes in the Village. Both appointments fill vacant three-year terms, which run through April 30, 2018. Attorney Zimmer is thrilled to have this opportunity to give back to his community, and the experience will help Attorney Zimmer better serve clients navigating zoning and property disputes throughout the state.
