Attorney Kuglitsch Elected Chairperson of the State Bar of Wisconsin Taxation Section Board

Attorney Kelly Kuglitsch has been elected to a two-year term of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin Taxation Section. Her term will begin on July 1, 2020 and end on June 30, 2022. Originally elected to the Taxation Section Board in 2015, she served previously as a Director, the Secretary/Treasurer, and as the Vice Chair of the Taxation Section.

With Taxation Section Board Directors and Officers now located across multiple metropolitan areas both within and outside of Wisconsin and representing a wide range of ages and areas of practice focus, Attorney Kuglitsch plans to embrace and leverage the diversity of the fiscal year 2021 Board’s perspectives and input. Her goal is to ensure that the Board’s work recognizes and reflects the range of professional interests of its nearly 500 members.

The Taxation Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin Bar aims to provide its members a forum to discuss issues pertaining to federal and state taxation, attend seminars and meetings, recommend legislation, provide opportunities for networking, and to assist Section members in advancing their awareness of issues impacting the practice of law relating to taxation.

Kelly Kuglitsch is a member of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group and provides counsel on a variety of technical ERISA and tax issues, including those relating to qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, the ACA, M&A planning and transition, executive compensation, Internal Revenue Code Section 409A, and pandemic-related benefits and payroll tax matters.
