We advise clients on important retirement and welfare benefit plan issues, and assist clients in navigating the challenges associated with the sales and income tax obligations of multi-state business operations. Our attorneys carefully guide clients through the complex and ever-changing web of tax laws and keep clients informed on interpretations of significant tax law changes.

In addition to these business tax services, our tax attorneys counsel tax-exempt organizations including charitable and religious organizations, credit unions, and cooperatives.

The tax team at O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing S.C. also works closely with individual clients. We strive to carefully understand each client’s needs and assist clients in achieving their estate planning objectives, including planning for tax-deferred real estate transactions, and creating gifting and charitable giving strategies.

Our attorneys have significant experience representing clients in audits and appeals before the Internal Revenue Service and Wisconsin Department of Revenue. When controversies do arise, we apply our experience representing businesses and individuals before these agencies to achieve resolution of our client’s tax controversies. Our successes range from litigating individual tax appeals, to securing large class action victories for taxpayers disadvantaged by unconstitutional taxing schemes.
