Jason is a Shareholder at O’Neil Cannon where he leads the firm’s Corporate Practice Group and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. With more than 15 years of experience, Jason primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions. In this role, he represents buyers and sellers, including mature companies, family offices, wealthy individuals who aspire to acquire a business, and private equity groups.
In addition to his M&A practice, Jason works closely with his corporate clients on their general business needs, including contract preparation and negotiations; succession planning; advising on best practices and simply being a sounding board. Spending his entire career at O’Neil Cannon, Jason also routinely involves other team members to ensure all of his clients’ legal needs are met, including in the areas of employment, real estate, tax, estate planning, complex commercial litigation, and even divorce, inheritance litigation, and plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. O’Neil Cannon’s reputation as the midsize Milwaukee powerhouse allows him to facilitate solutions for his clients across all areas of the law.
Jason augments his M&A and general corporate practice by representing banks and borrowers on complex commercial loan transactions. His experience in this area also allows him to better serve his M&A and corporate clients because so many transactions include a financing component. He also has strong experience working on M&A transactions that use SBA financing.
Jason lives in Mequon with his wife and four kids. In his free time, he enjoys attending his kids’ sporting events and playing golf. He’s also a huge fan of all Wisconsin sports teams.
